BELEK TOURISM CENTER
Belek, a true paradise on earth, is the right destination for your holidays to Antalya, which will surely last in your memory for a long time. With 574 kinds of plants, which 29 of them are endemic, Belek's peerless nature also hosts 109 different bird species,including the Tyto Alba live. Caretta caretta turtles lay their eggs to the sandy beaches. Sun shines almost every month of the year. A mild climate with 300 days of sunshine and an average sea temperature of 22 Cº makes Belek a surpassable meeting point. Each year many national and international football teams choose Belek as their camp and exercise base.
The presence of many antique sites nearby, like Perge and Aspendos, proove that Belek has always attracted people. Other well known sites like Cappadocia, Pamukkale(Hierapolis), Karain and Insuyu caves are easily accesible with a short trip, full of inspiring mountain and forest views.

Weather in Belek
The region has a mild climate and enjoys more than 300 days of annual sunshine. Winters are mild and summers are hot. The majority of the rain fall in winter, sometimes with heavy showers. It never snows in Belek, but thanks to the wonderful nature, the region has some quality ski resorts suitable for every level of skiers which is just one hours of drive away. The temperature rises above 30°C during peak summer months (July-August), sometimes even reaching 40°C. The humidity also rises these months, but Belek is usually more comfortable than the Antalya city center because of the cool breezes through pine forests. May, June, September and October are wonderful and ideal for a summer holiday. July and August are the most popular months of the year, when all of the beaches are full of local and foreign tourists. Belek has a long summer season and you can enjoy the sea from early May to late October or mid November. You can still swim in the sea in winter like many tough people do; or wait for summer like most of the locals do. Actually, average winter sea temperatures are higher than the average summer sea temperatures of the northern parts of Turkey and most of the Europe.
